Merger Update: Announcing the new AccessHC Board

4 March 2025

We are pleased to announce the newly expanded Board of Access Health and Community, now strengthened by the addition of two expert Directors from the Inspiro Board.

This marks an important step in our integration journey, bringing together diverse expertise, strong community representation and experienced leadership to guide our organisation into the future.

As of 20 March, the AccessHC Board welcomes:

Kim Griffiths

Bachelor Occupational Therapy, Postgraduate Diploma Innovation & Design Thinking, Graduate Australian Institute of Company Directors

Kim is an AHPRA registered Allied Health Professional with over 30 years’ experience in the healthcare industry, both in Australia and internationally. She has worked across the continuum of care from acute to sub-acute to community care, gathering experience in aged care, disability, pain management, mental health, cognitive decline, complex neurological conditions, and her clinical specialisation in Hand Therapy. Kim has held multiple healthcare leadership and operational roles in Melbourne’s largest healthcare services. She is currently committed to improving the healthcare system for all Victorians, as the Manager of Innovation at Safer Care Victoria.

As a resident of the Dandenong Ranges, Kim is committed to bringing her cumulative skills and experience, combined with a passion for her local community, to support the effectiveness of the Board.

Kim said, “I am thrilled to be transitioning from Inspiro to the AccessHC Board of Directors. The coming together of these two like-minded organisations ensures we are here to serve the communities most vulnerable for many years to come. I am excited to see what we will achieve as one team, and I am grateful for this opportunity to serve this expanded geographic area.”

Katie Yeaman

Bachelor Nursing (pre-registration), Grad Dip Renal Nursing, Graduate Australasian Institute of Clinical Governance, Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors

Katie is the current Manager of Accreditation and Clinical Risk at Mercy Health and has a clinical background in nursing specialising in Renal Nursing. Katie brings more than 18 years of experience in the health industry, holding various senior management roles in quality and safety across acute health.

Katie lives with her family in the Yarra Ranges and is interested in increasing the quality of health services available to the local community. She wants to ensure the new merged organisation thrives and that high quality, accessible and responsive health services are available to future generations.

Katie said, “I am excited to join the Board of AccessHC and look forward to contributing to our shared vision of supporting and strengthening the health of local communities. As a resident of the Yarra Ranges, I have a deep personal connection to the outer east and am grateful for the opportunity to continue playing a role in improving the health and wellbeing of our community.”

Together with our eight existing Board members, Kim and Katie will contribute to strong governance and strategic direction, as well as delivering on our vision for the future of our communities and staff. We are excited to welcome two Inspiro Directors who share our commitment to delivering high-quality, community-centred health services.
