Community Engagement and Codesign Report – the Connect Centre

The North East Metro Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect (Connect) supports families, carers, and friends of those with mental health or substance use concerns. Created from a Royal Commission recommendation, this service was codesigned with Tandem and local families.

Led by Access Health and Community, in partnership with healthAbility, Inspiro, and SHARC, it serves multiple local areas. Governed by a committee of leaders and community members, Connect aims to meet community needs and fill service gaps. You can click and read the Community Engagement and Codesign Report.

As the Connect Centre evolves, ongoing engagement with families, carers, and the broader community will remain a priority. The Lived and Living Experience Reference Group will provide continuous guidance to ensure the service remains genuinely ‘family and carer led’,  offering relevant and timely support.
