International Women’s Day – 8 March 2022

This International Women’s Day‘s (IWD) theme is #BreakTheBias. AccessHC is uniting with people around the world to break the bias and work towards creating a world in which difference is valued and celebrated.

In a show of support, all countries around the world are joining together to help forge women’s equality and #BreakTheBias by ‘striking the IWD #breakthebias’ pose.

How can I celebrate IWD?

There are lots of ways to recognise IWD. You could post on social media using the hashtag #breakthebias or attend an event in your community or online.

Here is a snapshot of some of the events in our local community at Hawthorn Community House and Whitehorse Manningham Library.

Hawthorn Community House is celebrating International Women’s Day by hosting a range of mostly FREE events on Tuesday 8 March that can help you relax, rejuvenate and remember.

IWD Hawthorn Community House program

Whitehorse Manningham Library is inviting you and your family and friends to an exciting FREE Trivia Night with stand-up comedian, breakfast radio host, MC and jazz singer Tracy Bartram on Monday 7 March!You can join in person at Doncaster Library or via Zoom online.
