Access Health and Community and Your Community Health potential merger
The Boards of Access Health and Community and Your Community Health are pleased to confirm that we are exploring a potential merger.
Our organisations recently completed an unbiased assessment of the benefits of a potential merger, which included a thorough review of the associated costs and risks. This showed that the benefits are significant and positive for our clients, communities and people. We are now heading into a more formal due diligence process that will take us into 2027. This process will lead to a final decision on whether the merger proceeds.
Our organisations are already strong, sustainable and delivering significant impact in our respective communities. A potential merger will build on that, bringing together the best of both organisations to strengthen and deepen the services we deliver to our communities, amplifying our impact and helping shape the future of community health.
We are each deeply embedded in our communities, and committed to improving access to inclusive and integrated services for people left behind by mainstream systems. Our teams are passionate and deliver incredible work that changes lives every day.
With shared values, vision and commitment to the community health model, a merger will strengthen our service offering, increase impact and innovation, and ensure we can deliver healthcare to those who need it most for years to come.
Funding is scarce and the sector is changing, while demand for inclusive, responsive, and community-informed care has never been greater. A merger places us in the best position to respond to these changes while staying true to the client-focused care and community-based culture that make us great.
The exploratory merger work and due diligence are expected to be completed around April 2027. In the meantime, it is business as usual for each organisation, and we remain focused on delivering great care and supports to all of our communities.
On behalf of both Boards, we would like to sincerely thank our teams for their ongoing work, and we look forward to sharing updates with our communities as due diligence progresses.
