Professor Mike Morgan
Mike is the Head of the Melbourne Dental School in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at The University of Melbourne and holds the Chair of Population Oral Health.
He has been involved in dental education and research both in Australia and internationally. Graduating with a dental degree from The University of Otago, Mike is a registered specialist with a background in paediatric dentistry, dental public health and epidemiology. His teaching and research interests lie in the causes and prevention of oral disease at a population level and with clinical trials of oral disease preventive agents.
His university role has involved working closely with Community Health Centres, particularly in relation to student placement and clinical services. Mike has served on several NFP Boards over the past 10 years, primarily related to health and education.
