The Other Side of the Mountain – Stories and Words by Carers is a beautiful collection of stories and words by carers. This anthology was inspired by the need for carers to come together and share their experiences through the joyful process of creative writing.

Carers often feel invisible and powerless, even though their selfless work significantly contributes to the wellbeing and good outcomes of their loved ones. This collection celebrates and acknowledges the individuals behind the carer role. It features stories of love and hope, future ambitions, and moments of grief and despair.

This launch event will involve:

Storytelling/ readings by carers
Light refreshments
Book viewing opportunity*

*Limited print run. Books are not for sale or borrow and available at all North East Metro Connect Sites.

When: 1:30pm – 3:30pm 1 August 2024 Thursday
