Child and Family Health – Doncaster
At Access Health and Community Doncaster, we offer an extensive range of specialised health, development and wellbeing services and programs for children and families.
Our work is evidence based and we have over 40 years of practical experience using a strength-based family-centred approach.
We work with those closest and most significant to you and your child – family, parents, carers, educators and other children’s service providers in the community.
We are able to see children up to 12 years of age (age limits are service dependant). We provide practical and realistic support that can be easily included in your daily routines.
We have a range of child and family health services at Doncaster, including:
- Allied Health support for children aged 0-12 years including speech pathology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychology, dietetics, music therapy (public and NDIS funding).
- Key worker support for children aged 0-9 years to provide early childhood early intervention
- Movement and music group for preschoolers
- Parent Child Mother Goose for preschoolers. This is a program which introduces parents and carers to the pleasure and power of using rhymes, songs and stories together with their children.
- SmallTalk supported playgroups for preschoolers
- Feeding clinic (6 months to 6 years old)
- Various group programs including school readiness, social skills and school-aged skills-based groups.
Facilities for families
We have dedicated spaces on site for our Child and Family services, including two change tables and a family toilet.
