Christmas and New Year 2024-25 opening hours

The AccessHC team is taking a short break over the holidays.

We will close at 3pm on Tuesday 24 December 2024. All our sites will be back on Monday 6 January 2025.

Some essential services will be open during this time, including:

• Richmond Urgent Care Clinic
• mental health services including Stepped Care, Head to Health and North East Metro Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect
• Camcare Emergency Relief
• Outreach Needle and Syringe Program CHOPER.

Richmond Urgent Care Clinic

The Richmond Urgent Care Clinic (previously Priority Primary Care Centre, PPCC) is free for everyone, with or without a Medicare card.  See a doctor quickly and avoid waiting in an emergency department.  This service is open everyday 8am to 10pm, even on public holidays.  

Mental health services 

For mental health services, including Stepped Care and Head to Health, contact the team on 9810 3070 or 1800 378 377, or via mentalhealth.intake@accesshc.org.au.  The AOD services will re-open from 2 Jan 2025.

We have limited staff working during the holiday period and will return your call as soon as possible.

North East Metro Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect

The Connect services will be closed from 3pm 24 Dec and reopen at 9am on Thursday 2 January. 

If you’re going through a hard time over the holiday season, the Beyond Blue support service is available 24/7 for brief counselling. It’s free and confidential. Call a counsellor on 1300 224 636 or chat to a counsellor online.

Needle and Syringe Program (NPS)

For outreach NSP services, CHOPER is open between 7.30-11.00pm every night on 0414 266 203.

Allied Health

Please liaise with your GP for all health issues that arise during this period.  

If you require urgent support with SWEP issued equipment, please phone Chemtronics on 1800 765 833 (1800 SOLVED)

For urgent medical matters the following services are available over this period: 

• For emergencies call triple zero (000).

• Afterhours doctor (Locum) service on 134 100  

• For dental, call the Royal Dental Hospital Melbourne on 9341 1000  

• Visit your nearest hospital emergency department, such as Box Hill, Austin or St Vincent’s Hospital 

• Victorian Virtual Emergency Department
