Our counsellors are trained in a number of different types of therapy, including:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT)
- Family therapy
- Solution-focussed therapy.

Fees and payments
We offer both low-cost and fully funded (free) services, depending on your needs and situation. We also offer mental health services for people who have an NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) plan.
You may or may not need a doctor’s referral. Please call our intake team on 03 9810 3000 to talk through your options.
As a team we offer a wide range of mental health services at Access Health and Community.
Together, our team includes psychologists, social workers, mental health nurse, youth workers, family workers, counsellors and peer support workers. We work with people experiencing a range of mental health issues, focusing on your goals and supporting your well-being.
